The company established itself in the local market and to keep up with the times, in 1982, it was floated on the stock market. This new modern company was divided into three divisions: IMPORT-FRUIT AND VEGETABLE MARKET-EXPORT. Import and sales of both domestic and foreign fruit and vegetables are carried out in Stands 157-158 - 161-162-163 of Building C, of the Milan Fruit and Vegetable market. The export side of the business is carried out on a special loading platform of 1000 square metres in the Export Zone, also inside the Fruit and Vegetable Market. The domestic clientele is varied and covers small, medium and large, retail trade. We supply retailers, wholesalers, supermarkets and hypermarkets present in Milan. Our clients are scattered throughout Italy but the majority are in Milan and Lombardy. The fruit and vegetable products sold on the domestic market include a wide range of products: from the first strawberries of the season of Marsala and Naples, to Italia and Regina grapes. Thorny artichokes, apricots, domestic and EU peaches, cherries, pears, apples, figs, kiwis, melons, aubergines, courgettes, domestic, EU and non-EU tomatoes. French beans, fennel, leeks, mushrooms, potatoes and all typical Italian salads: from Treviso chicory to IGP brand, Castelfranco and Chioggia chicory, endive, frisée salad and escarole from all over Italy. The export trade concentrates mainly on the German, Swiss and French markets. The products that are destined for the foreign market are typically Italian: grapes, strawberries, cherries and all the Sicilian fruit and vegetables. From Puglia there are vine and cherry tomatoes, various types of broccoli including the wild variety, escarole, rocket, radish, yellow and red peppers etc. |
